George Mason University is investigating the potential damage caused by the earthquake that occurred this afternoon. Minor damage has been reported. As a matter of precaution, the University is encouraging employees to return home for the remainder of the day until a complete assessment of university buildings can be made. Designated employees should contact their supervisor. The University will operate on a normal schedule on Wednesday August 24, unless notified otherwise. If you need to return to your office to collect keys or personal items before returning home, please do so expeditiously, avoid using elevators, and report any damage or injuries to University Police (703) 993-2810.
